A recent opinion editorial in the National Review, highlighted the fallacies of recent ads placed by Pharmacy Benefit Managers claiming that their, “..business practices are fiscally conservative and promote budgetary discipline in D.C.” But the authors caution readers, “not to be fooled.”
The article continues, “Plainly stated: PBMs inhibit access to effective medicines and often work against a patient’s interest by failing to provide lower-cost products.
